We’re committed to making Gŵyl Fwyd Caernarfon as environmentally friendly as possible—and you can help too! Here are some easy ways to make a difference:
- Travel green: Walk, cycle, or take the bus to the festival. You’ll find useful travel info here.
- Pack a reusable cup or glass in your bag to cut down on single-use waste.
- Bring a refillable water bottle—there are plenty of places around town where you can top it up.
- Dispose of waste responsibly: Use the correct bins, or even better, take your rubbish home with you.
- Bring a lunchbox to carry all the delicious treats you’ll pick up throughout the day.
- Support local businesses: If you discover a product you love, remember to buy from that local company again. Shopping local is good for the planet—and great for the local economy!
- Last year, we collected 5.6 tonnes of waste on the day of the festival—and 42% of it was successfully recycled! Let's aim even higher this year!
