“It's an opportunity for a jangle!”

A volunteer with the food festival has encouraged others to volunteer

Lyn Jones has volunteered at Gŵyl Fwyd Caernarfon the past two years, and she has discussed her experience in order to encourage others to become volunteers.

Gŵyl Fwyd Caernarfon is held on 11 May this year, and the committee is looking for people to give two hours of their time to steward the event. Lyn volunteered for the first time in 2022 and came back last year. She has mentioned how nice it is to talk to visitors to the festival and help out on such an important day for the town.

According to Lyn:

"I genuinely enjoy taking part in the successful event every year and I'm proud to contribute my time to such a significant and important event for the town.

“I like meeting local people and visitors who come to town for the day.

"Volunteering is a good opportunity to promote the festival as well as having a jangle!

"They only ask for two hours of your time, and it's easy and fun work, including signposting people to stalls in different parts of the town, or toilets.

"I would recommend volunteering to anyone. It's a privilege to be able to say that you helped on such an important day."

If you, like Lyn, would like to volunteer at the festival, fill in this form.
