Feeding Caernarfon’s firework watchers

NOV 07, 2017 - SOPHIE

On Saturday, the 4th of November 2017, the group were busy providing refreshments to all the enthusiastic watchers that flocked to watch the amazing fireworks display organised annually over the Aber Bridge by the Lions. With the audience eagerly awaiting in the cold on the nearside of the Fenai, the Gŵyl Fwyd Caernarfon Food Festival group were very pleased to be able to offer delicacies to warm them up and keep the little ones entertained ‘till the display.

Ifan was busy preparing hot dogs and two choices of soup (thanks again to GISDA for their continued support), whilst the rest of the group helped to prepare, to serve and to make cuppas and hot chocolate to warm freezing cold hands and stomachs!

CO NI OFF 2019!

Naturally, the fireworks didn’t disappoint again this year and it was great to see the community coming together to excitedly enjoy. We were very lucky to have some of Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen’s art students with us for the evening too as photographers.

And to top it all off, the evening raised £700 towards Gŵyl Fwyd Caernarfon Food Festival 2018!

Thanks to all of you who came out to support us, and bought hot dogs, cups of soup, teas and coffees and soft drinks galore! But particularly, we’d like to extend great thanks to those listed on the right for their sponsors, contributions and services.
